Just like the enterprise, every human resource has his own personal balanced scorecard. As the environment changes, so does the balance between the elements. Young people might for instance be more focused on earning money and building a career. Finding harmony in life is something that everyone is looking for. The balance is sometimes very delicate and fragile. Causing chaos by introducing enterprise based change can disrupt this balance and can reduce overall productivity and velocity. As a manager it is not possible to keep everyone happy, but effort should be made to keep a healthy balance between organizational and personal goals. This will ultimately lead to optimizing velocity and value for the enterprise.
