About the course
Most organisations process personally identifiable information (PII), so a robust privacy information management system (PIMS) is critical to protecting the privacy of the people whose data they handle. This course prepares you to establish and maintain a PIMS in line with the requirements and guidance of ISO/IEC 27701.
It covers the organisational context, leadership and commitment, privacy risk assessment and treatment, communication and awareness, and documented information, as well as how to monitor, measure and improve the PIMS. Above all, it gives practical guidance on privacy objectives and controls for PII processors and PII controllers. After the exam you can apply for the “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer” credential.
