Overview
The instructor-led, virtual PRINCE2® Foundation (7th Edition) course and exam is aimed at assessing whether the candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team on a project using the PRINCE2® method in an organizational environment that supports PRINCE2®. In this sense, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the core principles, terminology, and governance structures of the method.
A key element of the PRINCE2® Foundation course is the process model, which will be demonstrated through a specialized process map developed exclusively by the training organization—the PRINCE2® Trigger Map. Throughout this interactive learning experience, you will discover how the model functions, how different project activities and roles relate to one another, and how PRINCE2® handles the inevitable exceptions that arise during project execution.
During the course, you will also learn how to build and structure a project management organization responsible for meticulous planning and execution. You will master how to define various project management roles clearly to ensure that every phase is carried out in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Furthermore, the ‘management by exception’ technique will be introduced as a cornerstone for proactive project problem management and control.
Following the course, participants will have the opportunity to take the official PRINCE2® Foundation exam within 12 months. Earning this certification also serves as the mandatory prerequisite if you later wish to advance your career and sit the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam.
